DAVID SKYE
Biography | Performances | Chart

The Loft and Club Babyhead may be long gone, but David Skye remembers them well. These clubs were the ones supporting the New England house scene in 1992-93, back when David formed Formula 409 with close friends Chuck Caseroc and Shannon Shalako. Together, the three spun house records at all sorts of parties and events, and even teamed up with the legendary Primary Productions and KC & the Sunrise Gang, who were responsible for throwing some of New England's most memorable raves years ago.

Then, in 1994, David headed west to Arizona, where he scored a few residencies and schooled desert denizens in the art of running the dancefloor. He also regularly took his sounds out into the wild for outdoor gatherings and quarterly equinox festivals, which he helped to coordinate.

In 1998, Skye came back home to Boston as a wiser DJ and more enlightened soul. David spent alot of time helping to build the house music scene in Boston with his production company, Redlight. During this time he booked and spun records with some of the best house/techno DJs/producers around. Some highlights have included: Derrick Carter, Robbie & Gavin Hardkiss, DJ Spun, Mixmaster Morris, Pepe Bradock, Steve Bug, DJ Assault & the Detroit Grand Pubahs, Charles Webster, Boo Williams, Thomas, Garth, Rob Mello, Hakan Lidbo, Marco Carola, Funk D Void, Woody McBride and many more. Inbetween gigs and production work worked at Satellite Records as a buyer/assistant manager.

In the summer of 2002 David Skye moved to San Francisco, where he can be heard rocking the dancefloors of local underground hotspots.
